RomePosted Mar 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a slower, multi-month selection process for Software Engineer that stayed conversational at first, then became more technical, and in one case stalled without a clear decision.

HR / first introductory interview — I described my previous experience and contract type.
Manager / team leader discussion — I covered training, experience, goals, and values.
Technical interview — I was tested at a theoretical level on the work I’d do, including the tools/software involved.
Additional technical deepening (in one flow) — I had an extra technical step and then waited. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; one process took 4+ months with no clear positive or negative feedback.
