My process started with an HR conversation that mostly covered standard logistics and preferences, including salary expectations.

That call didn’t really feel technical, just like a checkpoint.

After that I had a technical round with a lead engineer. That discussion stayed focused on job-relevant details, including features and distinctions in the programming languages the role required. It had a clear engineering flavor compared to the earlier HR step, and by the end I felt like I had at least been judged on actual role skills—not just general fit.
