Commerce, CAPosted Oct 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My first step was a larger group event where a lot of people were interviewing for a new store.

I wasn’t even fully sure what the dress code or format would be ahead of time, and when I arrived it turned out there were dozens of applicants. Instead of sitting through a normal Q&A, they had us doing practical, interactive activities.

We worked in groups on things like sorting brands by styling and price, then talking through ideas as a full group afterward. After that, I had to pick an item of clothing and give a presentation focused on its features and benefits. We also worked in pairs on handling a customer complaint—writing down ways to resolve it, then discussing with the group.
