ByteDance Software Engineer interview experience

I got through what would have been the second user interview, and I remember feeling like I’d done enough to justify the next step.

But after that, things went silent. The recruiter ghosted me afterward—no follow-up, no feedback, no explanation—just nothing. I was left confused and disappointed because the process ended without any clear closure.

I didn’t get an offer, and the hardest part wasn’t even the technical side; it was the uncertainty created by the lack of communication at the end.
