Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The interview started with a resume chat that focused on my ads experience, and then I got a coding problem about finding the longest zigzag path in a 2D grid.

I implemented a solution using DFS and backtracking. During testing, I ran into a loop and ended up debugging right at the time limit.

When the clock ran out, I hadn’t fully resolved the looping behavior. The interviewer was understanding and didn’t push to force a full finish, and they decided to wrap up the interview. I ended up not getting an offer, and I felt that the time cutoff mattered more than my actual ability to reach the intended approach.
