ByteDance Software Engineer interview experience

After the recruiter stage, I got an editor-based coding session with a small set of LeetCode questions: two medium problems and one higher-difficulty prompt. The setup was typical—solve in the code editor—and once I finished, I was allowed to ask the interviewer questions about the role.

Overall it didn’t feel unusually hard or chaotic. The main pressure was just finishing clean solutions for the medium questions and then keeping my focus for the harder one.
