BT Group Software Engineer interview experience

The coding questions were centered on trees and graphs, and after clearing that I moved into an interview stage that was still around the same level. That round felt average too, but I didn’t make it through.

What I remember most clearly was the selection pressure implied by the numbers: out of about 30 selected, around 12 were placed. That ratio made the process feel competitive once it got past the initial test. My takeaway was that even when the questions didn’t feel impossible, the bar for moving on was clearly higher than just being “okay” at the content.
