My interview experience with BrowserStack felt disappointing, mainly because the amount of preparation they asked for felt disproportionate.

I had to spend a lot of time on a framework design component, an automation task, and also a SaaS presentation.

What threw me off was how product-heavy the evaluation felt. Instead of focusing on how well I delivered or how I thought about customer engagement, it leaned heavily into detailed product information, which felt more like preparing for a client pitch than a typical interview.

The session itself also didn’t feel professional. The interviewer didn’t keep their camera on, there was distracting background noise like a child crying, and the call ended abruptly without much closure.
