Redwood City, CAPosted Jul 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My Box process was detailed and took quite a few steps, and it felt like a real multi-stage filter rather than a quick check.

I went through five rounds that covered algorithms and data structures, plus a retrospective and behavioral portion to assess culture fit. The whole thing felt fairly involved, which made the stakes feel higher from the start.

I did well in the retrospective part, but I didn’t perform as strongly in the other technical rounds. The process itself felt lengthy, and while communication wasn’t terrible, it still felt a bit tedious and not always as clear as it could have been.

By the end I wasn’t offered the role, and the reflection I kept was that the depth of the process magnified small gaps.
