I made it deep into the AE process and felt the relationship-building was strong, but the final decision experience was frustrating and left me without closure.

Recruiter/hiring team communications — Throughout earlier stages, I felt good rapport and a sense that feedback and next steps were moving.
Late-stage final round — I reached a point where I had to coordinate timing with an external offer and opted out a few days before my final interview. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway was that when decisions stall, the lack of feedback or acknowledgement can sour an otherwise good rapport.
