My interview was online and started with the usual questions, but then it turned into a coding challenge delivered in a web editor during the session.

I’d tested the editor beforehand, and it had worked—so I assumed I was fine.

During the actual interview, the typing experience was broken in a way that threw me immediately: the interface kept covering the next line as I wrote code. I flailed for around ten minutes, then switched browsers. The problem didn’t resolve, and when I asked to use an external editor, the request was declined. Eventually the interviewer pointed me to a different link, and that editor finally worked, so I was able to start typing for real.
