BNY Software Engineer interview experience

The format was concept-heavy and didn’t include coding—there were basic technical and conceptual questions instead, and it played like a normal conversation about how I approached problems.

The only real downside was logistics: there was a noticeable delay between when I finished the OA and when they finally reached out to schedule the interview. Other than that, the process felt smooth.

I didn’t end up getting an offer from this path. Still, I felt the interview itself was fair and that the evaluation was more about my fundamentals and communication than speed at coding.
