Pittsburgh, PAPosted Nov 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied through a careers pathway tied to NSBE, specifically for BNY Mellon’s Early Talent Program.

A few days after applying, I got an online assessment that felt relatively easy compared to typical OA rounds I’d done elsewhere. It was scheduled close to the conference, and the coding part was Java-only for the final question, so I couldn’t switch languages even if I wanted to.

The OA itself had two easy-level LeetCode questions, a handful of basic multiple-choice items, and then the Java OOP question at the end. Overall it felt manageable and straightforward, and the structure made it easier to stay calm while working through it.

I didn’t end up converting into an interview from there.
