BNY Solutions Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a technical interview coming up, and the recruiter’s guidance was very clear: the conversation needed to stay tightly tied to tech topics and skills.

That framing shaped how I approached the interview week—mentally I expected the focus to be on technical knowledge rather than broad discussions.

With that expectation in place, I walked in ready for a skills-first evaluation. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but I took away that the company was explicitly steering the interview toward technical depth, and that made the whole process feel more predictable than some other roles I’d seen.
