I interviewed for a Software Engineer role where the core evaluation was practical front-end engineering via a live discussion.

Technical live call (JavaScript + React) — I walked through React concepts like state, async behavior, passing props, and user input validation.
Application problem-solving — I discussed edge cases, how to fix issues in an existing app, and how to improve behavior using callbacks.
Hands-on focus — the format emphasized reasoning about improving a working UI rather than only theory. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, but the key was having solid, concrete React fundamentals and debugging instincts.
