I had a relatively easy flow early on: I did a phone screening, and then I got pulled into an onsite interview.

The questions stayed close to my past experience and basic technical understanding, and it didn’t feel like I was being tested on anything obscure.

In another similar path, the technical discussions with the team went well—people seemed impressed with how my background fit the role—then the HR side took much longer to finalize anything.

I didn’t end up accepting an offer in the story I remember
