After a recruiter touchpoint, I was asked to complete a HackerEarth coding test with a couple of questions.

The format felt like a quick filter, and I remember moving through it under a time limit. For the second step, I had a face-to-face discussion where the role focus didn’t match what the process was testing.

The test itself was frustrating: I couldn’t reliably run my solution because the platform wouldn’t accept the input the way it was expecting for the test cases. That same “can’t run cleanly through the harness” problem showed up alongside my attempt, and it made the coding exercise feel more like competitive-programming mechanics than something that reflected building production systems.
