The first part of the conversation felt like it was designed to understand both me and the way I think about sales.

I was asked to introduce myself, talk through my internship experience, and explain how I’d motivate a team. There were also situation-based sales prompts, plus questions about why I wanted to join the telecom industry and why Airtel specifically.

I remember one of the more direct themes being customer outcomes—how I’d achieve customer satisfaction—and how I’d justify my interest by connecting it to the role. The overall vibe wasn’t hostile; it felt like a structured, sales-focused competency check.
