My early stages went well because the conversations with the senior developers were easy and very down to Earth.

I felt comfortable talking through my background, and the interviewers kept things grounded and natural.

What soured the overall process for me was an added third step: a HackerRank test that didn’t feel like it matched the rest of the experience. It was the kind of stage that, to me, made the procedure feel less coherent overall.

Even with the friendly first conversations, the process didn’t lead to an offer, and the combination of a smooth discussion followed by a detached technical test left me feeling like the procedure wasn’t handled as thoughtfully as it could have been.
