I had a phone interview sequence where the first conversation was with a recruiter and then I spoke directly with the hiring manager.

The recruiter chat was mainly behavioral, focused on how I think and how I come across.

When I met the hiring manager, the tone shifted slightly. It felt more informative about potential opportunities for the intern position, so the questions were less about generic background and more about what the role could turn into.

It was a smooth process overall, and while I didn’t receive an offer, I appreciated that the hiring manager round felt grounded in actual opportunities rather than vague promises.
