I met with the store manager who walked me through different job titles and what the hiring path could look like.

The manager made it clear the process might not be just one interview—there could be one or two more depending on how things went.

I didn’t get the straightforward, immediate yes/no that I’d hoped for, and the tone stayed more exploratory than final. Since I didn’t end up with an offer, the overall feel was that I was being considered, but the next steps weren’t guaranteed. I left with more questions than answers about timing and what would happen after the manager meeting, and that uncertainty carried more weight than the interview itself.
