San Francisco, CAPosted Nov 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a supportive, human-first interview setup for the Software Engineer role after a personal travel disruption, and the process turned into a professional tour-style conversation.

Rescheduled initial interview (manager + engineering group) — After my situation came up, Bechtel people rescheduled; I then met the interviewer, who was welcoming and professional.
Intro to managers and engineers + department tour — The interviewer introduced me to other leaders and engineers and gave me a tour of the department. Outcome: I did not receive an offer, but the takeaway was how accommodating and professional the process felt.
