I had a two-interview flow where the technical focus shifted from core concepts to real work.

The first interview centered on DSA and OOPs, and it also pulled in Java since the role was described as Java backend developer. I remember it feeling like a mix of fundamentals and practical expectations rather than anything purely theoretical.

For the second interview, the conversation moved into projects. I got questions tied directly to what I’d worked on, including one that was project-specific and technical—integrating a payment gateway service into a web application, along with routing and SQL server integration details. I also had to talk through a challenge I’d faced during my work.
