BAE Systems Software Engineer interview experience

It lasted around thirty minutes and mostly revolved around my experience and what I knew about the role. The panel probed my understanding of how an engineering project moves through its lifecycle, and they specifically referenced the engineering V model as a concept they expected me to be comfortable discussing.

The atmosphere didn’t feel hostile or overly high-pressure; it was more like they were checking whether my background actually matched how they work. I left with the sense that they were looking for clarity and fundamentals rather than trying to trick me with obscure technicalities.
