BAE Systems Software Engineer interview experience

It was about an hour, and the conversation covered my background and studies, along with what I knew from university. They also asked practical eligibility questions about whether I had the right visa and requirements to work in the UK, and it included the usual motivation-style question about why I wanted to join the company.

It didn’t feel like a technical grilling at that point—more like they were checking alignment and feasibility. I finished feeling fairly confident I’d covered the basics, but I didn’t receive an offer.
