Seattle, WAPosted Jun 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

After a recruiter chat to cover logistics and set expectations, I had a focused conversation with the hiring manager that centered on my prior experience and how it mapped to the role.

It felt like a straightforward “does your background line up?” discussion, and it went well enough that I moved quickly to the next step.

The hardest part for me was a take-home system design assignment. I submitted a written design document and then presented it to two team members. They asked questions as they dug deeper, pushing on details of the design rather than just letting me summarize at a high level. Even though I had time to think, the combination of writing it up and defending it under follow-ups made it feel more demanding than a typical design interview.
