After an initial phone call with AVL, my first real hurdle was an online test that was intense and fast.

It was packed with questions about ICE and engineering concepts, and the timing forced me to work quickly. If I got through that, the rest of the process added layers: I had to identify parts of ICE and explain their roles and how manufacturing ties into the process.

The test also included spotting mistakes on a drawing and then moving into a 3D modeling task using common software. When I finally reached the personal interview stage, it didn’t feel any easier—engineering questions covered a wider range of topics than I expected, and I was pushed on depth rather than just basics.
