Avaya Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

EasyIsraelPosted Nov 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview started with HR scheduling time with a technical manager.

The first part was typical background and “what did you do” style questions, and then it shifted into a series of code-focused technical questions. There were also brain puzzle prompts mixed in, which added a different kind of pressure.

After the technical manager interview, I had a separate HR conversation centered more on character fit. That round felt less about solving problems and more about how I’d show up day to day.

The overall difficulty felt moderate for me, and I ended up with an offer. The thing I remember most was how quickly it moved from career background to hands-on
