I started with a quick hiring manager call that lasted about 30 minutes.

It was basically a conversation about my experiences—nothing overly technical—and it felt like an early pre-filter for what was coming next.

I didn’t get an offer from that stage, and since it was so short and mostly focused on fit and background, it left me with the sense that the real evaluation was meant to happen later. Still, the call itself felt straightforward and served its purpose as an initial screen.
