Autodesk Software Engineer interview experience

It was actually the first company I’d gone through an interview process with, so I was surprised by how smooth it seemed during the rounds.

What I think hurt me wasn’t the technical work as much as how I presented myself. The vibe I walked away with was that communication mattered, and I didn’t do enough to clearly represent my fit. Even with decent coding/dev capability, I felt like my delivery didn’t make me come across as strong as I could’ve been. I didn’t get an offer, and the main takeaway I had was that representing myself clearly mattered just as much as the skills I could code with.
