My onsite ended up being the worst experience I’ve had in an interview process.

It was a virtual onsite where I had my camera on and waited for the interviewer to join. When the session finally started, the person joined after about five minutes but didn’t have their camera on.

I asked them to turn it on, and then the call derailed quickly—an excuse came up that their laptop couldn’t handle it. After that, I was declined for the role. The whole moment threw me off so badly that I lost interest in the company right away, because it felt like the process didn’t respect the seriousness of the scheduled interview.
