I started with a recruiter email to schedule a phone interview, and the call itself was a little jarring.

The recruiter came in fast and asked questions right away, with almost no natural back-and-forth or flow.

I thought I answered as well as I could, but I only heard back a couple days later. The email basically said they were moving forward with other candidates, and there wasn’t much additional context.

It was the kind of process that ended quickly and felt impersonal, and I didn’t get a real sense of what they were looking for beyond the fact that they decided not to continue with me.
