I had an over-the-phone interview with a hiring manager.

The conversation was pretty structured around my current role and background, and it moved into STAR-style questions.

They also asked about why I would be a good fit for the company. What made it feel easy was that it followed familiar interview patterns, and I didn’t get any curveballs beyond the normal behavioral framing.

I didn’t receive an offer. Still, I felt the interview itself was comfortable and clear—more like a standard hiring manager screen than a high-pressure sales test.
