Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I felt like my technical interviews went well at Atlassian, but after the management portion of the process, I ended up getting a rejection email.

That outcome was hard because my confidence was higher for the technical rounds than for the leadership-focused part.

What lingered with me was how different the management interview felt compared to the coding and design discussions. Even though the decision came after that later round, the final message landed quickly, so there wasn’t much time to process or recalibrate.

In the end, the reflection I kept was that I underestimated how much the management conversation could swing the result, especially when the earlier technical parts had gone smoothly for me.
