Atlassian Software Engineer interview experience

Negative

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I recently attempted an Atlassian onsite for a software engineering role in the US.

What surprised me was that there were some general questions they kept asking repeatedly, and those were the kinds of things that were already floating around online.

Because the onsite started with that repeated “generic” questioning, it set a weird tone early. I found it harder to judge what they were actually screening for once the conversation felt somewhat redundant.

By the time I reached the end of the onsite attempt, I didn’t get the outcome I wanted, and the experience left me feeling that the process wasn’t fully aligned with what I expected to be evaluated.
