Atlassian Software Engineer interview experience

I could choose the language, and the interviewer also asked questions during the coding process.

The conversation included prompts like why I’d chosen such an approach and even what caused a particular error. The interview was entirely in English, and while it had those reasoning check-ins, it didn’t feel extremely hard.

I didn’t get an offer, but the experience itself felt fair and manageable. My reflection was that the questions were focused on understanding, not just on producing a final solution quickly.
