I met with a project manager and an engineer, and the people felt very professional.

The structure included an assignment: they gave me a TCP/IP project to take home.

The third step was to present and test the software, so it wasn’t enough to just complete the work privately—I had to show it and verify it. The whole process emphasized practical engineering output rather than only interview conversation.

I received an offer, and the take-home project plus follow-up presentation was the clearest signal that they cared about real technical implementation.
