I interviewed for an Account Executive role where they tested my selling directly with exercises, and it stayed manageable but required preparation.

Sales skills demonstration — I was effectively asked to show how I would sell an item in real time (including a pen scenario) and explain my approach in detail.
Case/case-scenario roleplay — I received a seller-focused scenario to demonstrate how I’d respond and position value.
Recruiter screen — I also had a round covering “why sales/why us” and quick definitions tied to parts of the sales process.

Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway was that success depended on a clear, practical sales narrative more than advanced technical ability.
