Arista Networks Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Medium

I started with a quick resume-focused conversation, and then the technical portion moved into Java problems.

One task was specifically about debugging a function, and the other was a linked list problem. The difficulty felt medium overall.

After going through the rounds, I realized the interview was less about system design and more about being able to reason through code behavior and correctness. I didn’t end up getting an offer.

What stayed with me was how direct the technical questions were—especially the debugging piece—which made the outcome feel like it depended heavily on whether I could identify issues quickly and fix them under time pressure.
