I went through a timed HackerRank coding problem set as the first round, and the solution was reviewed by someone at the company.

The set focused on string manipulation, and there was a 42-minute time limit.

The format was simple: solve the problem within the given time window, and then have it assessed. I felt okay about how it went, but I still didn’t get a clear next step in the information I received after that point.

In my case, I did end up getting an offer, and that initial timed string task was enough for them to move me forward.
