Aptiv Software Engineer interview experience

IndiaPosted Jul 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The interview felt mostly like a validation of what I’d already put on my resume.

They asked questions aligned with the skills and background I claimed, and the emphasis seemed to be on whether I could stay consistent and demonstrate patience and basic competence rather than relying on long, creative problem-solving.

There wasn’t much to the experience that felt surprising—it was a check against my stated abilities, and the overall difficulty was described as coming from scraping back to basics. I didn’t receive an offer, and the main impression I left with was that my resume alignment mattered more than any broader exploration of how I’d operate in the role.
