A recruiter reached out and we set up a Zoom chat with three engineers.

It wasn’t long—it started with introductions and then quickly moved into questions about projects I’d done before, with follow-ups that pushed for more technical detail and problem-solving thinking.

What surprised me was the strong emphasis on electronics throughout the conversation. At several points, the interviewers wanted deeper explanations rather than surface-level descriptions, so I had to be ready to walk through my reasoning.

The interview didn’t end in an offer for me, but I appreciated that they were engaging directly with what I’d worked on and how I handled technical problems.
