Cupertino, CAPosted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interviews across teams were non-standard, and that immediately made it hard to rely on a template.

I had conversations that started with some talk about myself, but then the focus shifted almost entirely into system design and debugging questions related to operating system components.

They did share technical details when I needed them, but the main thing they wanted was for me to actively reason and try to figure things out rather than just recite answers. The experience was challenging mainly because it wasn’t predictable. I didn’t get an offer, and I left feeling like the bar was less about memorization and more about how well I could drive through ambiguity.
