Recruiting started the usual way: a recruiter screen, then a call with a manager, and then additional meetings and presentations.

But the process ended up feeling like a real disappointment because I was asked to create a power point on the company’s offerings early on, and I wasn’t given any material or context to help me do it.

Even after I put together what I felt was a solid presentation, the interviewer barely engaged with it and instead asked very broad questions about leadership. When I answered based on the limited information I had, he got frustrated that my answers were too general. I asked where the team needed help and was told he didn’t know, which made the whole thing feel like a waste of time.
