Appfolio Software Engineer interview experience

I spoke with an engineer there, and the HR team later set up the technical interview for me with a friendly, patient interviewer.

The interview included a coding problem and an OOP-focused problem in Ruby. The Ruby piece was the main thing that could catch me off guard, and I remember thinking it would be noticeably easier if someone already knew Ruby. After that, my experience didn’t continue the way I expected—after the recruiter’s phone screen, I never heard back, which left the whole process feeling abruptly stalled despite how it started.
