Dulles, VAPosted May 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a noticeably tougher, more comprehensive interview for the same Software Engineer role, with multiple rounds and deeper technical problem-solving, followed by a manager discussion.

Recruiter screening — I talked through my background and resume.
Technical round — I was challenged with multiple logic questions and writing part of code, plus work-topic questions like agile and unit testing.
SQL component — I was asked to write queries.
Manager round — I explained why I wanted to join and how I could contribute to the team. Outcome: I didn’t move to an offer in these notes; the takeaway was that when the process gets harder, it becomes problem-solving plus engineering-process questions, not just fundamentals.
