I went through a more technical 3-round journey that mixed HR context with multiple Java/SQL/.NET-style fundamentals, and in one case included concurrency concepts like threads.

HR phone screen — I discussed my resume/projects and confirmed logistics like willingness to relocate.
Technical phone round — I was asked concepts across languages/frameworks (e.g., .NET and SQL) and general Java fundamentals.
Harder technical round (phone) — the next screen deepened topics (for example, threading concepts) and felt more difficult than the first technical call.
Skype / final technical manager-style discussion — in some flows I shifted to Skype where technical depth and resume/project walkthrough questions continued. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer
