I had a promising conversation with the hiring team, but the process ended with silence that left a bad impression.

HR contact / scheduling — I received contact from HR about a month and a half after applying.
Hiring manager conversation — I spoke with the hiring manager the following week and it went well.
Waiting period — They indicated they would follow up, but they never contacted me again.
No response to my inquiry — When I asked for an update, HR didn’t reply. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway was that the lack of closure made the process feel negative.
