The recruiter screen was actually a good experience, but the first technical screen went in a completely different direction.

The interviewer seemed uninterested and not helpful, and when I asked clarifying questions it felt like the conversation only made things more confusing.

They also spent an unusually long time being petty about my coding, which wasted several minutes that felt unnecessary. I tried to ask about the company as well, but the answers came off half-hearted. That combination of attitude and lack of engagement turned into red flags for me fast.

I didn’t get an offer. My reflection was that the technical content may have been standard, but the way it was handled made the whole screen feel hostile
