I had a responsive recruiter who lined up a 45-minute first call where we went over my resume and did some tell-me-about-your-experience style questions.

The vibe was normal and professional.

Next came a technical screen with an engineer. It was still a LeetCode-style problem, but it felt twisted into more of a defense-themed framing, which made the same kind of coding task feel different from what I expected.

I didn’t move forward after that, and the main reflection I had was how quickly the technical question shifted away from a generic format. It wasn’t impossible, just less straightforward than I was anticipating from the early recruiter stage.
